Branding
a collection of logos and brand identities I've created.

Pique - Celebrity Style Sharing
Pique is being developed as an online celebrity style sharing service that allows people to view celebrity outfits in high detail, rate them, share them, or buy them! Most style reporting offers the viewer a full body image of the outfit, Pique will
give the user a more in depth experience by offering a "Style Viewer", a photo viewer equipped with tools to enhance the experience of examinging the finer details of an outfit. In addition to that, users can rate, collect, and share their favorite styles. Pique
also partners with major fashion retailers to allow viewers of a specific style a chance to purchase that style (or a similar one).
mukari.com - social referral network
mukari.com is a web startup that I and a friend are currently developing.
I created this curved ring logo to convey the project's focus on simplicity and reciprocity.
Gorgeous: New York - Online Magazine/Blog
Gorgeous: New York is a lifestyle magazine/blog that
focuses on the up and coming creative minds and movers and shakers in NYC. The "G" logo projects
the combination of creativity and elegance...something all of the people we interviewed had in spades.
Wiener & Wiener - web series
Wiener and Wiener is a web series created by Dante Russo.
"Hey Joshua, I need you to create a logo for a show about a hot dog living in new york city...his name is "Oscar"."
The result: I used the letter "w" as a base, the negative space of the "w" takes the shape of a bun, while the middle "spire" takes
the shape of none other than "Oscar" the wiener. A gloss of 1960's fast-food flair using some texture overlays and
dated colors helps to convey the vintage feel of the show. Alternate logos are below, the first of which is a more modern-art-like version!
additional media from this project:
Sputnik
I saw a documentary on Sputnik, so I made a modernized sputnik inspired logo. If launched today
maybe it'd brand some NASA letterhead or something, eh?
Piggies!
I created these little guys to act as icons for a social investment website. They wanted icons
that showed different levels of savings, from low savings to medium savings to high savings!
Woodreef - longboards
A friend wanted to start a longboard manufacturing boutique. He called it "Woodreef". I created
a logo to visualize the word...a maple leaf with it's veins in the shape of some coral.
Smallbites - Bite Sized Nutrition by Andy Bellatti
Nutritionist Andy Bellatti wanted a clean modern logo for his food-wise blog Smallbites.
SynapticAttack! - Blog
This logo was for a blog covering nerd stuff; videogames, film, technology,
animation, etc. Funky and fun was the idea
so I went with a bright, minimalist, street-art look.
The Still Group - Photography
One of the best photographers I've ever met would be Freddy Mejia. He and the equally talented Fausti Rosario make up the Still
Group team, two guys
that hit the streets of NYC hard trying to capture the best of life. To keep them clean looking and modern, I created this pop-art like logo.
Neoteric
While at NYU I had the honor of being in charge of the student
publication out of the Steinhardt School
of Education that featured art and literature from current students. I
decided the publication should be titled "Neoteric" to match all the new
direction I wanted to take things. Out came this logo..bold..and new!
Gamertat - Online Hub for Gamers
This logo was made to represent an online social network for gamers.
BongoBox - Healthy Fast Food
What if you could go to a fast food restaurant, where you could pick and choose from a menu of healthy dim sum sized meals inspired by cuisines from around the world? Oh, and you get to
have a bento-box style container that would double as a portable lunchbox if you're on the go or a tray if you're going to stay and eat. This was the idea behind bongobox, a
start up quick serve restaurant I wanted to create. The problem: capital. Oh well...check out the logo, and below you can see what a bongobox box might look like.
additional media from this project:
Hosh Contracting
A friend of a friend had built up his own contracting business building residential homes. He wanted to hire a designer to come up with a logo that incorporated the shape of a house.
I ended up merging the shape of a drill bit to the bottom of the house...with some red sparks for flair...to give the logo some action.
Gumshoe Media
A throwback logo for a geeky new media focused branding team.
DWD (Design and Web Development)
A clean straight forward logo made for a web development team.
A.T.M. - All the Marbles - Pool Team Logo
A rag tag billiards team wanted a mean logo to represent their group A.T.M. (all the marbles). The logo's inspiration was one of the actual team members; an older rugged, smooth
talkin' tough guy. After getting a murky photograph of him, I turned it into a stencil (the logo served a dual purpose; shirts and stickers) and then stylized it to give everything a
"biker gang" kind of feel.
additional media from this project:
Flightlutions - Aerial Photography
Flightlutions is a small startup that offers ariel photography services. They strap an HD camera onto a miniature helicopter and capture shots that the big guys can't. This logo
is all about "flight"; I set everything to an upward angle and incorporated the "chopper blades".
Craft Forum
A logo created for CraftForum's website (They went with a competitor's logo instead...no hard feelings though ;-)
Dirty Sugar Photography
Dirty Sugar is a super fabulous photography group that creates amazing images. This was a concept logo created for their site re-launch. Check
them out, they've always got
something interesting on their blog.
Jaks - Academic Resources
A logo created for an academic resource company for kids.
NowLink
A concept logo for social media startup.
Taku - Avatar
An avatar created for an avid gamer named Taku.
National Gaming Federation
A concept logo for a competitive video gaming league.
